Economist,
graduate of Brussels University (Belgium) with additional course work
at Princeton University (USA) and Imede (Switzerland), Charles Thijs has
acquired over 30-year experience at all levels of international
management (strategy, marketing, sales, finance, human resources),
specifically within the consumer products industry and services.
After
successfully fulfilling positions with Nestle and Continental Sweets
Holding, Charles became Managing Director of Borel-Belgium (ACCOR
Group), then Campbell Europe Biscuits (Delacre Group), part of Campbell
Soup Co. (New Jersey, USA).

In 1990 he founded Cofip Enterprises, specialised in international
mergers & acquisitions. Associated with EMRC since its inception, Charles makes significant contributions to EMRC's wide range of
marketing activities.
