The AgriBusiness Forum is one of EMRC International’s yearly showcase events,
aimed at strengthening the Agri-Food sector in Africa, by encouraging partnerships, exchanging best practices and attracting investments. We believe that the success of Africa depends on the development and growth of its private sector. The Forum takes place annually and attracts agribusiness leaders and decision makers including
private entities, financiers, donors, industrialists, researchers, Governments, int’l Organisations, NGOs, and others from the North and the South. It is a key meeting point for those who wish to take part in Africa’s Agri-Food growth and those who wish to invest in the sector.
The 2011 edition was a combination of
Plenary Sessions,
Technical Workshops, Pre-organized One-on-One Business Meetings –
B2B – and a
Market Place.
The AgriBusiness Forum 2011 featured the
EMRC-Rabobank Project Incubator Award, an initiative launched in 2008, that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship. A call was sent out for Africa-based entrepreneurs / organisations to put forward their project proposals. The winner of the 2011 edition of the EMRC-Rabobank Project incubator award was Everlyne Cherobon of EMEDEN Kenya.
