As part of our organisational goal to Grow Partnerships for Africa, the EMRC team provides a number of business development services to members of our community. Here we highlight our most recent projects:
Business Training Session - Stock Management - July 2010
As part of our Business Development Services, EMRC organised
a business training session in Brussels from 28-30 July focusing on Stock Management.
The training session gathered African participants who would like to improve
their knowledge and skills on this critical business issue.
The trainer focused on the most important aspects of supply and stock forecasts.
Following the training session, business meetings were organised
with the representative of the European Commission, as well as several
technical partners interested in collaborative opportunities in Africa.
EMRC will hold other business trainings in the future, and is
open to review any propositions.

Business Training Session - Financing MFIs - May 2010
In Collaboration with EMDEVIA and as part
of our Business Development Services, EMRC organised a business training
session around Financing African Microfinance Institutions in Brussels, from the
24th to the 26th of May
2010. The training session gathered 10 participants representing up-and-coming
MFIs from Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire. The trainer, Dr Marek Hudon, focused on
the important aspects of sourcing finance and explained how to improve MFI
capacities in order to leverage access to international funding.
Following the training session, business
meetings were organised with the representative of the European Commission’s
ACP-EU Microfinance Programme, as well as different investment funds and
technical partners looking for collaborative opportunities in Africa. Thanks to
the training session participants improved their knowledge of MFIs and the foundations
for relationship-building with European stakeholders were put in place.
