Cashew Nut Processing Plant
CONCEPT & OBJECTIVES:
Faced with low raw nut prices, the members decided to set up a unit (with a capacity of 2,800 tonnes of raw nuts per year) that would process cashews and about 550 tons of almonds. Most of this production would be for export to EU countries, Canada, the USA and some African countries. Only 10% would be for the local market. |
