EMRC will hold a round table of investors and technical partners on Wednesday 26 June 2019 in Brussels to mobilize resources for the financing and execution of the Economic Commission for Livestock, Meat and Fisheries Resources (CEBEVIRHA) Strategic Plan 2015-2025 for the Central Africa region.

HORIZON 2025 - Round Table

Located in Central Africa, the CEMAC zone includes six countries sharing the same currency, the CFA Franc : Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic and Chad, 50M of inhabitants on a surface of 3M km².

Today, the need in protein (meat + fish) in the CEMAC region is estimated at 1.9M tones while the production only reaches 0,8M tones. The deficit is 1,1M tones. To provide sufficient protein the production market must grow.

To increase the abundance of foodstuffs and combat existing deficits, it is necessary not only to professionalize the market, to strengthen trade between member countries, but also to diversify the existing food basket.
