Media and Communication Manager (Full or Part time)

Your responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the PR activities to increase EMRC’s visibility with business and media on a global level
- Act as focal point for all external communication material prepared by the project managers
- Identify new marketing strategies aimed at expanding the organisation’s brand worldwide
- Develop and manage communication tools to key interest groups: internal staff, partners, members, media
- Draft clear and compelling press releases, web copy, speeches, social media news items, and communications with stakeholders
- Manage the delivery of the above through a bouquet of offline and online channels
- Oversee drafting, editing and publication of internal and external publications
- Keep website updated and manage the content
The following skills are required:
- Native English speaker with a strong written command of the language; a good level of written and spoken French; additional languages are an advantage
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in communications & PR management
- Working experience with online content management systems
- Good media relations and a media list of reliable contacts
- University degree - educational background in communications, media, international relations
- Strong expression and communication competences and creative drafting abilities
The following skills would be strong assets:
- Knowledge of design programmes (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- General knowledge of the economic development issues and institutions
- Experience in online and/or direct marketing
- A high level of computer proficiency and web mastering
