EMRC to strengthen collaboration with Zimbabwean University

While Zimbabwe’s economy relies heavily in agriculture, the landlocked country is facing water scarcity and desertification, due to the effects of climate change. Some of these problems are well known in countries such as Israel, hosting country of the EMRC Agricultural Missions to facilitate technology transfer to African countries.

A delegation from EMRC has been invited to visit the Midlands State University in Zimbabwe to strengthen the cooperation between these two countries. Managing Director Idit Miller and senior members of the Ben Gurion University (Israel) will attend this study visit to formalize the collaboration in some following areas such as training and capacity building; research; and agro-technology transfer.

More information about this project will follow soon.
